*just another day at work* *you know...* *the annoying tourists* *people who insisted that you got their order wrong* *when you know that you did everything that they asked for* *and they just changed their mind like a moron* *well at least Jules and Tanner came by sometimes* *they made the day bearable* *and gave someone for Lizzie to discuss her theory with* *the one where she thought they were putting crack in the pasta* *...why else would it be so popular* *well anyway* *Liz just needed wind down* *there were two ways of doing this* *one was skiing* *the other was the arcade* *any game with a gun* *...she was very very good at gun games* *and she had never shot a gun in her life* *she just loved those games* *and it helped that Jules let her play for free* *she bit her lip slightly as she stood back and with her "gun" outstreached* *killing aliens* *it was a good way to blow off steam*

-well, today wasn't as exciting as Sam thought it would be- -well, really, no day is terribly exciting anyway- -but today was verging on boring- -he'd got up a bit late- -had breakfast- -and then sat around reading for a while- -nothing major- -just a bit of light reading- -Picture of Dorian Gray- -he'd read it a few times- -but he liked it so much that he was reading it again-
-of course, that got boring after a while- -so it was time to hit the slopes- -he'd only had one bad fall- -which cause a light graze over his left eyebrow- -didn't bleed that much or anything- -thankfully- -would probably bruise or something- -he was no stranger to getting a knock or two when he was out-
-well, it was getting extremely cold out- -and he didn't want to admit it, but his head was actually starting to throb- -just what he needed- -time to head in- -makes his way to the arcade- -just something to do- -something to pass the time- -glances around- -only spots one person he kind of knows- -walks over- -stands behind- -gives his head a slight tilt-
"Nice shot"
-knows this might take her by surprise- -but he wasn't one for many words-

*there was really only one part of this game she was bad at* *remembering not to shoot the good guys* *they would always pop out of no where* *dressed in white* *and it would be so tempting to shoot them* *normally if she lost* *it was because of that*
*but today she was doing really well* *she hadn't kill too many good guys* *but then something unexpected happened* *apparently someone had come up behind her* *Lizzie hadn't even heard him walk in* *but when he spoke up* *she started slightly* *and turning to look at him* *an alien on the screen jumped up and ate her player*
"Oh man..."
*small sigh* *looks back to him* *offering a small smile*
"You had to pick now to actually talk didn't you?"

-he knew he'd probably give her a tiny fright by just coming up behind her- -but that was just Sam- -he wasn't one to make a huge entrance- -or announce himself to the world- -if people wanted to take notice then let them- -he wouldn't put himself out there- -and it had worked for him all his life- -he just sat back while other people made the effort- -okay, so he had just made a slight effort with Elizabeth- -but that was about as far as he would go- -well..-
-gives a slightly crooked smile- -notes the alien that had just eaten her player- -oh, bad luck- -he knew it was his fault- -gives a shrug at her question- -and that was the answer she was getting- -the best he would give- -he wasnt a very social person- -but for Elizabeth he could make an exception- -she was nice and didn't annoy him- -thankfully- -steps forward-
"Sorry"
-gives another light smile- -another step forward- -glances down-
"Do you mind if I? Or is there two player?"
-gives a tilt of his head- -yes, this was strange for Sam to do- -he was actually going to play a game with someone- -he usually only played video games with Tanner-

*him actually talking* *no matter how short* *was really surprising* *Samuel was so different than everyone else here* *everyone was so out going* *and had they're own little quirks* *that's why Lizzie fit in so well* *anyone who was normal would have looked at her like she was crazy* *but everyone here seemed to like her just fine*
*but Samuel* *he was so quiet* *and the fact that he was actually talking to her* *it was very rare* *if not the only time it had really happened* *and not only that* *he was going to stick around?* *what a treat*
Sadly our little arcade is too cheap to get the two player version of this game.
*nods* *with a smile though* *usually had a smile on her face* *holds the "gun" out to him*
We can take turns though if you want.

-of course all of this was probably a shock to Lizzie- -he wasn't usually this social- -it was just that he had nothing else to do- -and why not be polite to someone?- -someone who didn't annoy him- -and who he didn't mind being around- -at least she wasn't over hyper- -or over active- -she was great like that- -she'd speak to him every now and then- -and yes, she'd tease him about not speaking that much- -he didn't even mind that-
-gives a light smile- -one sided- -slightly crooked- -something that girls in the lodge usually went wild over- -and it never got them anywhere- -usually got them seeing his back when he walked away- -he couldn't take people who were too overly hyper- -or loud- -he didn't see the point in it really- -takes the gun- -points it at the screen- -eyes focused now-
"I have the two player at home"
-slight nod- -killing aliens now- -completely focused- -almost eaten- -shot it's head off- -and shock horror, he's quite good-
"Have you been in here long? Or will you be leaving soon?"
-yes, maybe he was finding out if he would have her company for much longer- -sneaky little so and so-

*he had it at home* *how lucky was he?* *in her mind, it was extremely lucky* *Lizzie didn't have any video games back home* *honestly her family didn't have the money for it* *hence why she was putting herself through college* *and working there* *it would have been a lie to say she enjoyed her work* *she enjoyed the perks* *getting to ski* *and use the arcade* *but she hated the work*
*then again everyone hated that work* *the food industry* *especially with the serving of food* *it wasn't anyone's dream to work there* *well at least not Lizzie's* *but she had to do it* *otherwise she wasn't going to get to her dream*
"I just got off my shift."
*she said in answer to his question* *surprised that he was still speaking to her* *before offering a small smirk*
"And if you hoping to be alone then this wouldn't be a good place, because I'm not leaving anytime soon."
*she then turned to watch him play* *he was actually...* *good* *well, well, well* *wasn't he just full of surprises today*
"Well look at you. You don't even need my help."

-now the reason he had the game at home...- -well, his parents went through a rough patch with money when he was younger- -but his father got them out of it- -what with his new job and everything- -still didn't make up for what he was like- -it didn't make amends for anything that had happened- -and it never would- -but of course his father thought it would- -always buying his mother new jewellery and new expensive clothes- -and then moving onto Sam- -always buying him new things- -including the game- -he wouldn't have played it, but Tanner had insisted-
-gives a slight nod at her next remark- -so she had just come in- -just off her shift- -well that meant he'd have her for a bit longer- -now, usually Sam would make a beeline for the door- -he'd be gone before the other person could say anything else- -but lets just say he was feeling a tiny bit more social today- -for whatever reason, he didn't know- -but it was strange, thats for sure- -gives a light smile- -turns his head in her direction-
"Who said I wanted to be alone?"
-glances back to the screen- -good score so far- -quite high too- -gives a light laugh at her next comment- -tilts his head slightly as the game ends- -he'd been put on the high score board- -again- -turns to face her-
"Your help? Weren't you the one who just got eaten?"
-slight smirk on his lips- -yes, he was teasing- -and it had been his fault she had lost- -cheeky little thing-
