Aruba, Jamaica ooo I wanna take you-oof!
*Very gracefully in a sort of slow motion way*
*Tristan slipped backwards*
*And landed on his back knocking the wind out of himself*
*A small puff of snow went up around him and swiftly settled back on him*
*Okay so he wasn't the greatest skiier ever to hit Bear Mountain*
*But he certainly wasn't as bad as some people*
*At least he didn't complain when he fell over*
*And at least he got back up again with a grin on his face*
*And tried again*
*Skiing was a new thing to Tristan*
*And he liekd nthign more but to succeed in new things*
*But truthfully he really wasn't cut out for it*
*Surfing was his thing*
*He was good at it*
*Therefore he loved it*
*Althoguh good at it was by sheer dent of luck*
*It was a fifty fifty chance he'd stay upright and not hit something*
*Most of the time he was just lucky*
*On the occasions he wasn't...*
*Well the local hospital knew his details by memory*
*And they always had a 'what now?' look to their faces when he arrived*
*He was rather far from his local hospital now though*
*And damn near freezing his ass off*
*He was used to the California sun*
*Warm waters*
*And if you landed right in water you were fine*
*No matter how you landed on snow it hurt*
*Maybe he was doing it wrong*
*With a mental shrug*
*He launched himself upright*
*And came to a balance on the top of the snow*
*He then began to slowly slide backwards*
*Considering he'd only been skiing since this morning*
*After having dumped his bags in his room he'd made a beeline for the slopes*
*With an undying determination*
*That he was going to make the most of his vacation here*
*He was picking the general idea up pretty quickly*
*He already had good balance*
*Despite being a clumsy oaf half the time...*
*Realising he was still in fact sliding backwards*
*He started to paw at the air*
*Which seemed illogical because there was nothing to take hold of*
*When he started to pick up speed he decided enough was enough*
*And turfed himself over deliberately*
*Like hell was he going to spend this afternoon going backwards down a ski slope*
*Instead it seemed safer currently to just lay here in the snow*
*Sprawled on his back like a strangely dressed log*
*Several people skied past him chuckling*
*He simply raised his hand and saluted them as they went past*
*Yes...he could feel his back going numb now...*
*Soon he was pretty sure he'd be able to disown everything that was currently near the snow*
*Because he wouldn't be able to feel it anymore*
*Despite the thick layers*
*He could feel the cold*
*Instead of complaining though he started flailing with his skiis
*Making a mockery of the movement of getting upright again*
*Whilst singing*
*Frosty the Snowman with a ridiculous amount of cheerfulness*
