-pulls her faux-fur-lined coat tighter around her small frame-
-clutches a cup of hot cocoa-
-rubs her nose-
-must look like Rudolph-
-has her cell phone glued to her ear as usual-
"No way... did he really?"
-snickers-
"What a jerk."
-continues chattering-
-barely notices D-
-sips her cocoa-
-wonders if Daddy will let her take the car into town to go shopping-
-they have some cute little boutiques there-
-pretends to be interested in what Jackie is going on about-
-checks her manicure-
-meh-
"I know it totally sucks. I'll be back in Cali after the Winter though."
-frowns-
"Ok. Yeah, I'll talk to ya later. Ciao doll."

"You didn't really go boarding dressed like that did you...?"

-slips her phone out of her coat pocket-
-reads the text message-
-giggles-
-smirks a bit-
-glances up at D's question-
-tucks a piece of hair behind her ear-
-shakes her head-
"Nope"
-spent the day mostly indoors-
-slept in-
-went to the tanning bed at the resort spa-
-lounged around her room for a while-
