[[ This is what happens when Chrissy watches a music video too many times. ]]
A small school system in middle Tennessee was wondering...Could someone get along with someone they've never met before? Sure, teenagers did it all the time on things like MySpace and Facebook, but could they reallt develop bonds with someone they've never talked to? Wel, they've decided to find out.
Some schools have banded together to see for themselves. Seven schools have selected a boy and a girl from their school for the project. They ave been given each other's e-maila nd such, along with twelve other student's from over the school system. They were instructed to talk to each other and the other schools' kids to see if anything happened.
This is the first week.
Communication's just starting.
Nobody's really opening up.
Students are going to have to get used to the idea before anything really happens, but the schools are starting to get anxious. Most projects don't normally take so long. But they'd cope. It could mean a drastic change in inter-school relationships and more events held for the schools together.
But the students are just warming up.
Of course the students are going to break the rules and meet each other since they do live relatively close. They are after all teenagers, and teenagers are good at breaking the rules.
And how will their friends react? What will Yalobusha students do when they hear their friend talking about a Clarksville student? What will any student do when their friend talks about a Greenbrier brat? Drama is alsways bound to happen in school settings. This is just testing the limits.
